Scriptural Admonitions to Meekness

“Moses was a man exceeding meek above all men that dwelt upon earth” (Numbers 12:3).

“For thy power, O Lord, is not in a multitude, nor is thy pleasure in the strength of horses, nor from the beginning have the proud been acceptable to thee: but the prayer of the humble and the meek hath always pleased thee” (Judith 9:16).

“He will guide the mild in judgment: he will teach the meek his ways” (Psalm 24:9).

“But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight in abundance of peace” (Psalm 36:11).

“He shall scorn the scorners, and to the meek he will give grace” (Proverbs 3:34).
