Some Down Time This Weekend for Catholicism.org As We Improve Things

We’re implementing some improvements on our site.

Beginning tonight at 8:00 p.m., EST, the final stages of our site’s migration from one server to another will commence. There is the possibility of down time. When the DNS server is changed, it will take a while to propagate throughout the Internet, and this may make for some anomalies for a couple of days. Deo Volente, things should be back to normal on Monday (January 22, 2024: the feast of Saint Vincent Pallotti). In fact, things should be better than normal when the site is on the new server. The site should not look any different (not yet, anyway), but the site speed should improve.

Already, because of some of the complications of this process, there are some site anomalies, with our search engine attempting to send people to postings on our new server. We apologize for any inconvenience. The “Advanced Search” feature — which depends on Google — is fully functional.
