Quixotic as it might seem to be — especially nowadays — some are shaking their fists at the behemoth federal government by seeking to flee it. That is, they wish to secede from the union. There are petitions for Louisiana and Texas. But they are not alone. Other states, many in the North, have similar petition drives set up.
