The human rights disaster that is the European Union is coming into sharper focus now. More importantly, we hope the “divine rights” disaster it is will become apparent to the baptized Europeans who still think God has rights in society. Take away His rights, and you get tyranny.
Pravda tells us that the EU is just like the old Soviet Union:
Now that the Czech Republic has announced it will ratify the Lisbon Treaty, the EU will be even closer yet to becoming a unified monster state, with more than half a billion inhabitants. Inhabitants is the correct term, since “citizens” would indicate a set of political rights. The people living in the EU should rather be called “subjects,” since they have no influence whatsoever on the constitution of the centralized European government, the “European Commission.” (from the Brussels Journal, “Pravda: ‘EU Is Reincarnation of Soviet Union'”)
Barrister Neil Addison, the National Director of the U.K. Thomas More Legal Centre, gives his legal thoughts on the recent decision that will remove crucifixes from Italian classrooms:
As several press articles on this case have pointed out, the court did not expressly order the school to remove its Crucifix but this is only because the court does not have the power to make such orders. It does, however, have the power to find a violation of the European Convention, which then forces the Italian government to report back to the Council of Europe exactly what it proposes to do in order to implement the court ruling, which, in this case, will mean removing crucifixes from classrooms, courts, public buildings etc. (from the Remnant web site, “De-Christianizing Europe? Italy vs. the Cross”)
