In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Victor Davis Hanson backs up the major point made by Charles Coulombe on this site just yesterday (cf. The Third Civil War). We in the United States are, according to Hanson, in a “revolutionary moment,” that could lead to national “collapse.”
According to LifeSite,
Hanson has long been associated with the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Claremont Institute. Both are considered the most prominent conservative intellectual think tanks in the country, though some Catholic academics have pointed out the flaws in the political philosophy that they adhere to.
Obviously, Professor Hanson does not have the remedies to the dilemma, which can only come from on high — i.e., via extraordinary supernatural help — but he sure can outline the problems in stark terms.
Ep. 27 Donald Trump appeared in court today, but it wasn’t a legal proceeding. It was a grotesque parody of the system our ancestors created. Victor Davis Hanson explains. pic.twitter.com/KhTHateWCZ
