Federal Court Sanctions Assault on Marriage, Truncates DOMA

Catholic Culture: In a 3-0 decision, the First US Circuit Court of Appeals has declared a portion of the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional. The 1996 law passed by wide margins in both houses of Congress and was signed into law by President Bill Clinton.Read more here.

President Obama Reaffirms Commitment to Repeal DOMA

CNA reports: This past Saturday evening, Barack Obama became the first U.S. President to make an appearance at the Human Rights Campaign, the largest pro-gay “marriage” organization in the country. President Obama delivered an impassioned speech in which he criticized the concept of the traditional family and announced that his administration will work to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA.)
