The March for Life is morphing into a Catholic field trip, according to Michael Voris. But the Catholic youth there need to put away their toys, grow up, and learn what it is to be Catholic.
The young people who gave such horrible answers to Church Militant TV’s interviewers (see video, below) are simply echoing what they were taught — or not taught, since much of this results from sins of omission.
I received an email from a friend, who had these insights into Mr. Voris’ March-for-Life coverage. They came by way of an email to his children, which one of them forwarded to me:
Many good people who are spending their lives in the pro-America, pro-life, pro- Traditional Catholic movements are neglecting their own children in order to pursue these “greater” causes. In the early years [when the children were young], we observed this tragic phenomenon and that’s why we dropped out of being more active until recently [now that they are all grown and out of the house]. We realized it was more important for us to concentrate on your education, your moral upbringing and your Traditional Catholic Faith than to “save the world” and neglect you. Mainly you can thank Mom for that — staying home by choice when there were so many “better” things calling for her time.
It’s not only “Novus Ordo” Catholic youth who lose the Faith and remain ignorant of it. Traditionalists are not doing the best job in the world of passing it on, either. We can only blame the clergy so much; it starts in the family.
