500,000 Ugandans Came to Honor Saint Charles Lwanga and 21 Companion Martyrs June 3

I don’t know how I missed this great event in a country that is fast becoming Catholic. The Ugandan martyrs were burned by fire or speared to death between the years 1885-1887. Pages all at the court of King Mwanga, they died for their Faith and for their chastity in refusing the sodomistic advances of their ruler. Their feast day is June 3.

CNA reports: Earlier this month over 500,000 people gathered in northeastern Uganda to celebrate the feast day of Saint Charles Lwanga and companions, who are known as the Uganda Martyrs. Read more here.
