This is the same bishop who, more or less, busted a meeting prior to the presidential election in which, at one of his parishes, speakers on both sides of the abortion issue were invited to address an audience. He spoke out forcefully to the assembly, saying that abortion is not to be debated on Church property as if it were something in dispute. If I remember correctly, he charged that pro-abortion Catholics had lost their minds, or words to that effect.
