Butte, Montana, Our Lady’s Town

With all the bad news in the Church and the world, it is an encouragement to read about the Catholic love for Mary in a mining city in the 630 mile-wide “mountain state,” Montana. I was so impressed reading about this.  What a feat! And I never even heard about it.

The Christian Review: The third tallest statue in the United States bears the image of the Blessed Mother and stands astride the jagged Rocky Mountain Continental Divide 3,000 feet above the city where I grew up. The massive 90-foot tall, sixty-ton steel statue is called Our Lady of the Rockies, overlooking Butte, Montana. Full story is here.
