Confessions Every Day 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Mall

The Capuchins of Colorado Springs have rented space at a mall where they have a chapel, Mass twice a day, and all-day confessions.  Five priests do a daily rotation. I remember Brother Hugh MacIsaac telling the story about a Boston priest, Father Powers, I think his name was.  He used to park his car by the ball parks or basketball courts, put on his stole, toot his horn, and summon the Catholic boys to confession.  Those were the good ol’days when the more zealous priests made house calls and park calls as well as hospital calls.

CNS reports: Located on the upper level of the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs, between the Burlington Coat Factory and Dillard’s department stores, the Catholic Center, which offers Mass and the sacrament of reconciliation, is a place shoppers can find solace away from crowds.
