DOJ Task Force May Investigate SPLC

Let’s hope so. I just read this morning that in her divorce proceedings against her husband Morris Dees, founder and head of the Southern Poverty Law Center, Maureene Dees accuses Morris of trying to sexually molest her daughter, his step daughter. Peter D’Ambrosca uncovered an appellant brief court document obtained by Big League Politics. The brief was filed by Maury Smith, Julia S. Waters and Charles M. Crook, attorneys for Maureene, in the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals.

PJ Media, Tyler O’Neil:  On Monday morning, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a new religious liberty task force in the Department of Justice (DOJ) to defend religious freedom as laid out in last October’s memorandum. In his remarks, Sessions referenced the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a threat to religious liberty, suggesting the new task force may investigate or target the left-wing smear group.
