This little act of charity, posted now all over the internet, made my morning so much brighter. The photo says it all: the poor homeless man with his look of humble gratitude, almost incredulous with his serene compliance, and the meek officer with his good Samaritan expressionless expression of compassion, fills my soul with joy. One can see why Jesus embraces “the least of these” as His own. I have bookmarked this and I want to make a prayer card out of it. Read the NY Times piece here.
