Catholic Culture reports: By a 216-178 vote, the House of Lords has blocked provisions of an Equality Bill that could have forbidden churches in the United Kingdom to “restrict jobs to believers and refuse to hire people whose private conduct is inconsistent with their teaching,” in the words of The Telegraph. Catholic and Anglican leaders had opposed these provisions of the bill. More here with links.
