Israel Exacts Revenge on Victim Resistance to Their Land Theft

I am in no way justifying what what happened yesterday in Gaza when a Palestinian sniper killed a fence-mender. Violence in a cause where the just have no natural hope whatsoever of victory, no matter the righteousness of the indignation, is wrong. Such violence only begets worse violence, as was the case here. But the violence of Israel, the perpetrator of the outrageous injustice, is far worse. The end to the war in the Mid-East will only come about when the Jews accept Christ as King and renounce Zionism. Then, and, I believe, only then, will the Moslems wake up, and renounce Mohammedanism. Could that happen? Not without a Catholic evangelization in the Holy Land which seems more and more to call for martyrdom. The same holds for the West. Catholics will be martyred in the near future as the enemies of the Faith grow more bold, some few have already been killed, in the cause for the Kingship of Christ and the Catholic Christian culture.  In the Far East the Church in China has stood firm for the most part. There are thousands of martyrs in that vast land. And the Faith grows daily there as Communism teeters bit by bit. May we hope for this? Yes, indeed, God willing, but our supernatural hope is in the promises of eternal life offered by Jesus who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

NBC World news: Israel carried out airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday after an Israeli civilian was shot dead while fixing security fences on the border of the territory, officials said.

The Israeli military confirmed the strike — which came just hours after the shooting — but gave no immediate details on the target, The Associated Press reported.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had promised reprisal after a man was gunned down by a sniper earlier Tuesday as he did maintenance work on the Israel-Gaza security fence in the northern Gaza strip.

“This is a very severe incident and we will not let it go unanswered,” Netanyahu said in a statement through his office. More here.
