Of all who heard God’s call
And sped away
One to his pick and spade,
One to his tray,
Martha He loved,
Who did not choose the best,
Yet poured heart and soul
To please her guest,
And recognized
In one majestic nod
Her Savior, the Christ,
Son of the Living God.
