Online Conference on Catholic Social Teaching: April 4

On Saturday, April 4th, there will be a free, on line, live streamed, video conference on Catholic social teaching. Organized by Crusade.Live and sponsored by the Crusade Channel and Restoring the Faith Mediathe event will offer lively, comprehensible and orthodox presentations of the authentic social doctrine of the Catholic Church.

Hosted by the popular Catholic radio personality Mike Church, the event will feature such celebrated Catholic scholars, writers and speakers as Dale AhlquistCharles CoulombeRaymond de Souza, David Wemhoff, Christopher Ferrara, Joseph Pearce, and John Rao.

Social justice is a Catholic concept, which has been hijacked and perverted by the neo-pagan, socialist left. Taught by successive Popes, Catholic social principles formed the thinking and inspired the policies of such Catholic statesmen as Conrad Adenauer, Alcide de Gasperi, Charles de Gaulle, Antonio de Salazar, Eamon de Valera, Engelbert Dollfuss and Robert Schuman.

A prominent American prelate said, many years ago, that “There is no problem in America today that cannot be solved by the application of Catholic social teachings.” It can be argued that free enterprise survived in America in the 20th century because the rigors and abuses of capitalism in the 19th century were mitigated by Catholic ideas and practices which spoke to the common goodhuman dignity, the rights of labor, the just wage, and the principles of solidarity and subsidiarity.

I hope you will take this opportunity to learn more of the rich heritage of social thought which Catholics are privileged to possess, and which will be the foundation for the future restoration of our civilization.
