Orissa Christians Evicted From Refugee Camps

Fifty thousand Indian Christians were forced to flee their homes to avoid death at the hands of roving bands of  Hindu murderers.  Their homes were destroyed and their crops set on fire. Twenty thousand found refuge in these camps set up by the government and which are now being dismantled. These poor people have nowhere to go.  Where their demolished homes now lie in ruins, they have no security, should they even attempt to rebuild them. Another tragedy that the United States government and all the secular media ignores.

Catholiconline reports: BHUBANESHWAR (Asia News) – There is no sign that the long journey of suffering by Orissa’s Christian community is anywhere near its end. The government has decided to shut down refugee camps and force Christians to leave but no one is providing them with any guarantee as to their security against further violence once back home; instead, they are still the object of hatred and rejection.  Full article is here.
