The priest, Father Bartholomew Mun Jung-hyun, was celebrating a Mass at the gates of a controversial naval base the government was building in the area.
He was distributing Holy Communion when authorities broke in and began to beat those present, including the priest, throwing him to the ground.
The event occurred in Jeju, South Korea.
