Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Afflicts 1 in 5 Lady Vets

In a news item on the opening of Hampton VA Women’s Clinic in Virginia, we read the following:

The growing need is staggering; one out of every five female vets from Iraq or Afghanistan are [sic: s/b “is”] diagnosed with PTSD [Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder].

One in five female VA patients also say they were sexually assaulted or sexually harassed during their time in service.

Those women will get care for it all in the new clinic.

So, contrary to nature and the traditional rules of chivalry, our top brass are sending wives and mothers into situations where they may be violated mentally, emotionally, or physically. Is that another “mission accomplished”?
