He’s in the middle of a saintly American triple header. Yesterday was Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. Tomorrow is Blessed Brother Andre. Canonized in 1977, Saint John Neumann is not to be found in Missals for the Classical Roman Rite. Yet, any priest who celebrates the “extraordinary form” may use the common of a confessor bishop for his Mass and office today. We have offerings on our site by and about this Bohemian-American saint:
- Short bio and linked sermon by the saint: “On the Necessity of the Sacrament of Penance”
- Bishop John Nepomucene Neumann: An American Saint
