These are two of the Twelve Apostles, whose feasts are commemorated on the same day. This is because their bodies are kept in the same church in Rome, in the Basilica of the Holy Apostles. Saint Philip was crucified for the Faith. Saint James (James the Less), brother of Saint Simon and Saint Jude, and the first Bishop of Jerusalem, was thrown from the top of the Temple of Jerusalem by the Jews, and then clubbed to death in the street.
