Saint Thomas of Villanova (1555)

He was an Augustinian friar who was Archbishop of Valencia in Spain. His great apostolate was among the poor. He was a consolation to the Catholic Church in the century of the Protestant Reformation. He was a great guardian of the truths that Protestants were trying, through Luther, Calvin and others, to destroy.
