I just returned from New jersey where the “Boyle” family (my mother’s side) had a birthday party for the only surviving member of my mothers’ family, twelve siblings. Joan Boyle was born on the feast of the Annunciation 1929. She joined the Sisters of Charity around 1950, taking the name Sister Mary Susan. Her mother was Susan Kinney (Boyle).
So, I was glad to hear about this new sensation, Susan Boyle, child of Mary, with the angelic voice. This post is a few days old, but it’s worth a read.
