Susan Boyle Invited by Vatican to Sing for Padre Pio Tribute in Italy

Saint Padre Pio loved to hear an Ave Maria by a gifted cantante d’opera. How do I know this? Because of a photo I saw of him, smiling with folded arms, as he and his fellow friars listened to the exquisite voice of Beniamino Gigli singing for them in the cloister’s garden. So, I am sure he’ll be delighted from heaven to hear Susan Boyle who has said that she is very devoted to the Italian stigmatist.Susan has also been asked to sing at a papal Mass when the pope visits Scotland.

Express.co.uk has a story:  “Indeed, when Capuchin monk Padre Pio was canon-ised eight years ago some 300,000 people turned out on the streets to show their devotion. Now the Vatican has found what it believes is the ideal candidate to pay a special tribute to such an iconic figure at his tomb — Susan Boyle.” Read more here.
