The pictures of the inside of the basilica are breathtaking. I’ve been there. Sadly, today, it is more like a museum, a tourist attraction, however Masses are offered there daily. The architect, a Protestant, converted to the Faith, and he is the only person entombed in the basilica. Read and see more here.
