The Holy Unia Blog

I would like to bring to the attention of our readers a new blog — new to me, anyway — called The Holy Unia Blog. It’s an Eastern-Rite and pro-extra ecclesiam nulla salus blog that is “Promoting Holy Unia. Rejecting Ecumenism. Fighting Modernism. Rejecting Latinizations.” There’s nothing of a “Latin Rite is inferior” attitude about the contents. It promotes great apostles of Church unity like Mar Ivanios of Trivandrum.

The graphic and accompanying text at the top gives a flavor of the site. There is a Byzantine-Rite diskos and chalice (pictured below), with the words “Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus” underneath. This is fitting inasmuch as the intricate arrangement of the “Lambs” on the diskos is s sign of the unity of the Mystical Body. (The “Lambs” are the fragments of the unleavened bread species used in the Eastern Rites.)

“For Peace in the whole world for the well-being of the Holy Churches of God and for the union of all, let us pray to the Lord” (from the Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom).
