I was reminded while viewing it that one of the mendacious pretenses for going to war in Iraq (the second time) was that Saddam Hussein had violated UN resolutions. At the time, it was correctly pointed out that Israel had violated far more UN resolutions than had Iraq.
International law is very selectively enforced. It has been reduced to a mere talking point and a bludgeon that bullies use against those who are weaker. But when the weak attempt to use the law against the strong, it is ignored.
