In 1986, after their 39-20 defeat of the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl, six star players for the New York Giants contributed to a highlight video of the game and at the end of the video they each spoke about the evil of abortion and the duty to defend the pre-born. They were: Quarterback Phil Simms, who also was the game’s MVP, Mark Bavaro, tight end, who made a very slow and devout Sign of the Cross in the end zone after catching a TD pass, George Martin, tough Defensive Lineman who nabbed John Elway in his own end zone for a touch back, Phil McConkey, wide receiver, who made two spectacle catches, one for a TD, the other just a yard shy of a TD, Chris Godfrey, who did some sensational blocking for Joe Morris, and Jim Burt, defensive nose tackle, who knocked out Joe Montana on a hit the same season in a 49-33 win over the 49ers in the Division play offs. Burt has another claim to fame. He was the first football player to douse a head coach with Gatorade. Bill Parcells was the coach who received the honor.
