Catholic Culture reports: The Wall Street Journal has published a column by William McGurn criticizing The New York Times for its coverage of Pope Benedict and Father Lawrence Murphy’s abuse case.
“[H]is bishops had already stripped Murphy of his priestly faculties, the equivalent of taking a doctor’s medical license,” notes McGurn. “Does all this really suggest people callously looking the other way?” Read more here.
