Who Am I?

My healing is mentioned in three Gospels, twice, together with a similarly afflicted companion, and, once, in another Gospel, by myself.

I am cited by my father’s name, my father’s Greek name, not my own Jewish name.

I believed in Jesus as the Christ before He healed me.

I praised Him twice as “Son of David,” His Messianic title.

I was insistent in asking for mercy, overcoming rebukes to keep silent.

Jesus commanded me to come to Him.

I was afflicted but I could leap, despite my unrelated affliction.

After my healing, I followed Jesus for some distance along the road. Jesus said to me that my faith in Him had “made me whole.”

Any more clues and I will give my identity away.
