And people elect fools like this to preserve our republic. This woman is unable to think for herself. Like so many other “politicians” who have abandoned statesmanship, she is clueless on issues she is supposed to be informed about. Her constituents are stupid so she has to vote stupidly as their representative. Imagine that! She regrets her informed vote and would rather have voted with the misinformed and selfishly biased. But what am I saying? Fifty-one other senators voted against religious freedom rather than upset the culture of death enthusiasts. Such is the direction they assume the wind is still blowing and, if they want to get re-elected and continue to live large, they must not lead their country with justice but rather they must please the voting majority.

The amendment, to neutralize the controversial Obama mandate forcing religious employers to pay for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions for their employees by supporting religious liberties, failed as Democrats voted to defeat the measure.
Now, she tells the News Tribune she regrets the vote and has heard from Alaska constituents who are unhappy with her. “I have never had a vote I’ve taken where I have felt that I let down more people that believed in me,” she said. (Senator, we are a republic not a democracy.) Read more here.
