I’m not sure why the brilliant thinker and writer Diogenes over at CWN posts all these articles about the corruption within the Anglican religious community, while leaving the impression that their orders are valid for men. Unless the Anglican minister has been ordained a priest by a bishop from a schismatic line that has valid orders and a valid orthodox Ritual then their ministers cannot consecrate validly anyway, even if they intended to. I am not a subscriber so I can’t post a comment at CWN, but I will ask someone else to. I’d like to know Diogenes answer. In any event Diogenes sarcastic wit is as engaging as ever in this Off the Record report.
CWN has another humorous but true report over a communion wafer controversy, which also falls into the Anglicanism and Anglicanism Lite dichotomy that Diogenese roosts in the above link. However, as I said above, even the most “traditional” among the Anglican clergy are nothing more than presiders at a non-sacrificial memorial service, although they call it “Eucharistic.” The latest news at Blackburn Cathedral is not only “absurd,” as is Druid Archbishop Rowan Williams’ “two track” Anglican “Church,” but hilariously condign. I mean, if there ever was a religion that deserves no intelligent members who would freely embrace it with full knowledge of its origin, it’s the Church of E ngland. Check this story out.
