Chicago Cathedral Introduces Yoga Classes

I just posted a link to an article last week on this subject by Father Bill Kneemiller, which was published in the Davenport, Iowa, diocesan newspaper. Yoga is what opened the door for him to demonic eastern new age meditation. Yoga was popular in deconstructing liberal convents in the 60s and 70s. It stayed alive in the more extremely liberal convents and is still practiced in some of them today. Now it is being taught in a major Catholic cathedral by two women, one of whom — you can relax now, not to worry — is a “certified yoga instructor.” I’m sure you are relieved now that you know she is “certified.”

Catholic Culture reports: Indian media are reporting on the presence of “Catholic yoga” classes at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. The yoga sessions, which cost $15, are led by two women, one “a devoted Catholic and a practicing yogi,” the other “a certified yoga instructor who teaches vinyasa flow yoga.” In 1989 letter to bishops, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith discussed the “theological and spiritual implications” of the “problem” of Eastern methods of meditation, including yoga, transcendental meditation, and Zen. 1. Obviously the bad fruit of Vatican II. No Catholic would ever have anything to do with Yoga. What is the Bishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago’s opinion of this?
