Christians Mourn Passing of Guru Who Was Considered a god by Many Hindus

Sai Baba believed himself to be the reincarnation of another guru of the same name who died in 1918. To his credit he gave lots of money for hospitals and schools, but how did he amass such a fortune? From his followers, no doubt, many of whom considered him a god. It’s one thing for Catholic clergy to praise a man for his philanthropy, but to call an idolatrous guru a spiritual leader is, I guess, par for the modern false ecumenism that sees fellowship between light with darkness.
