From Boycott Israeli Salt: Israeli companies generate around 3 billion USD annually from the sale of Dead Sea minerals (primarily potash and bromine) and from other products, which are derived from Dead Sea Minerals.
That is a huge amount of money being generated by and for a state which upholds apartheid and occupation of Palestinian lands.
Whilst Israeli Dead Sea salt products, trade and tourism continue to flourish, the current Palestinian economy is unable to benefit from the Dead Sea due to deliberate restricted access, permit issues and the uncertainties of the investment climate.
