Murderer of Underground Priest and Nun in Mongolia Was Not a “Monk” as Reported by AP

News reports coming off the Associated Press have been calling the killer of Father Joseph Zhang Zhulai and Sister Mary Wei Yanhui a “monk.” Truth is Zhang Wenping was an expelled seminarian whom Father Zhang gave shelter to because the young man had no place to go. When he made an impure pass at Sister Mary Wei, who worked at Father Zhang’s home for the aged, the priest confronted him and demanded that he leave.

UCANews.com reports: Police have arrested a former seminarian in connection with the slaying of an “underground” vicar general and a nun in Ningxia diocese, China. More on the tragic story is here.
