Raising the Dead for Baptism

This was sent to me by John Cartmell.

In the brochure, “Father Pierre-Jean De Smet, The Apostle to the Rocky Mountains” (from the book, “The Life of Father De Smet, S.J. by Fr. E. Laveille, S.J.), I was amazed to read, “Father Pierre-Jean De Smet (1801-1873), known as the “Apostle of the Rockies,” an extraordinary missionary to the American Indians in the 19th century, was also a witness, along with his fellow Jesuit missionaries, of many people coming to baptism under miraculous circumstances; the dead rising again to be baptized.”
