Saint Catherine of Sweden (1381)

She was the daughter of Saint Bridget of Sweden. She persuaded the man whom she married to make a vow of chastity and live with her the life of a religious. She became an abbess. She died when she was fifty years old. The Danish form of the name Catherine is Karen. She is also commemorated on March 24.
