That’s the question. The world’s greatest mass murderer (next to Mao Tse tung) had nothing to do with DDay anyway. Our Russian WWII “allies” weren’t in Normandy on June 6, 1944. So, why was there a statue unveiled of him, along with FDR, Truman, and Churchill? Who is responsible? Will Virginians just let it go, just because there’s a plaque nearby listing Stalin’s atrocities? Why not have statues for the memorial of the leaders of the other nations that did participate in DDay?
The following segment is taken from an indignant patriot’s article over at The lair of Catholic Cavemen website: “It’s conservatively estimated that during Joseph Stalin’s reign of terror, tens of million of Russians as well as other ethnic groups were slaughtered at the hand of Stalin.
“Also, at Stalin’s order, millions of the following peoples were deported completely or partially: Ukrainians, Poles, Koreans, Volga Germans, Crimean Tatars, Kalmyks, Chechens, Ingush, Balkars, Kulaks, Karachays, Meskhetian Turks, Finns, Bulgarians, Greeks, Latvians, Lithuanians, Estonians, and Jews.
“It is conservatively estimated that most died during Stalin’s bloody forced relocations.” Read the full piece here.
