Cuba Declares Good Friday a National Holiday

Catholic Culture: Acceding to a request by Pope Benedict, Cuba’s Communist government has declared Good Friday this year to be a national holiday. The government will later decide whether to make the holiday permanent. Read more here.

Anti-Communists Have No Voice in Cuba

Unless there is an uprising to overthrow the Castros, Cuba will continue down the path of anti-Catholic tyranny and repression. Jails will continue to be filled with dissidents who are often victims of torture, threats to family, and blackmail.
