The Israel of the Bible is equated with the current political State of Israel; i.e., the modern country of Israel is viewed as the direct continuation of the Old Testament Kingdom of Israel.
“From a Catholic perspective, however, this view is nonsense. In this video I will make the case that we should not see any sort of equivalence between the State of Israel and Old Testament Israel.”
