SPLC Makes Nuissance of Self, Again
(The Remnant) Congratulation to the Parents Action League of Minnesota, which was just named by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group! I say “congratulations” because this so-called law center is itself impoverished and guilty of hate: impoverished of common decency and guilty of hatred for the true good. ( Taken from “Pastor Corner” of Holy Trinity Bulletin, So. St. Paul, by Father … More →
Multiracial Protest against SPLC ‘Bigots’
Said one black pastor to homosexual activists: “how dare you compare your wicked, deviant, immoral, self-destructive, anti-human sexual behavior to our beautiful skin color.” What merited such a lambasting? The SPLC’s smearing pro-family organizations as “hate groups” for opposing the homosexual agenda. Wouldn’t it be good to hear Catholic priests speaking with such conviction?
SPLC Caught Lying, Getting Sued
Our old friends at the SPLC, who have printed lies about Saint Benedict Center in the past, are getting themselves sued by a former Arizona lawman: At a speech in Sacramento, California, on December 10, Richard Mack, former sheriff of Graham County, Arizona, and founder of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA), announced that within a matter of days he will be filing … More →
SPLC Attacks Protestant Pro-Family Organizaions As Hate Groups
Still parading as a respectable civil rights organization, the fundraising syndicate known as the Southern Poverty Law Center has entered Evangelical Protestant pro-family groups onto their rosters of hateful people. Read about it at Human Events.
Another Anti-SPLC Article
This one from The New American. Excerpt: Smells of a Smear But nowadays the SPLC has become infamous for its commando-aggressive, slick campaigns against mainstream Americans who support constitutional government, the Second Amendment, sound money, traditional marriage, and legal immigration. For instance, John F. McManus, publisher of The New American and president of The John Birch Society,
To the SPLC: ‘Start Debating, Stop Hating’
A coalition of Catholic, Protestant, and conservative organizations has formed to oppose the malign tactics of the Southern Poverty Law Center. They’ve started the web site, Start Debating, Stop Hating. From their site: Slanderous tactics have been used against voters who signed petitions and voted for marriage amendments in all thirty states that have considered them. …
SPLC Attacks Pro-Family Groups, Calls Marriage Defense ‘Hate’
Those who oppose inherently unnatural unions being dignified with the name “marriage” are classified as members of “hate groups.” Add another feather to the anti-Christian cap of the Southern Poverty Law Center. Washington D.C., Dec 1, 2010 / 12:41 am (CNA/EWTN News).- The Southern Poverty Law Center’s classification of pro-family groups as hate groups is the “next phase” of a gay rights movement which seeks … More →
The ‘Belgrade News’ (Montana) on the Southern Poverty Law Center
The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s website features a “hate crime” section. Among the FBI’s recommended resources for this particular page is a link to the Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC is the Montgomery, Ala.-based non-profit that tracks ‘hate’ groups and claims to champion the civil rights of poor minorities. Once upon a time, the SPLC sued the Ku Klux Klan and won big settlements. … More →
Big Exposé of the Southern Poverty Law Center
The magazine Social Contract has dedicated the entirety of its Spring issue to the scam artists at the Southern Poverty Law Center. The issue is entirely online, and here are its contents: A Note from the Editor – The SPLC: Poisoning Public Discourse By Wayne Lutton (Spring 2010)
Patriots are Terrorists
You can rest comfortably, America. Those standard-bearers of decency at the Southern Poverty Law Center are once again magnanimously acting for the common weal. They have heroically identified forty (potential) domestic terrorists who are part of the “resurgent” patriot movement. Avoid these people at all costs — they are bad, and may try to protect you from Big Government! Strange, isn’t it, that a “nonprofit … More →
James Antle on the Southern Poverty Law Center
In “Tolerance Mafia,” James Antle III asks the question: “Who watches the hate watchers?” A surprising array of left-leaning journalists — fed up by the left’s own venal, manipulative, and money-minded enfant terrible — are included in the answer. It’s just a case of calling a rat a rat. Here follows a tasty selection of Mr. Antle’s rat poison:
Southern Poverty Law Center Charges More Conservative Windmills
(This is dedicated to Heidi Beirich, director of “research” at the Southern Poverty Law Center, whose intelligent, nuanced writing style I attempt to imitate.) The radical mercenary leftist fundraisers at the Southern Poverty Law Center are busily spewing out their trademark caterwauling again. Yes, the enemies of free speech and Christian social order are howling about the frenzied maniacs ready to escort Adolf Hitler himself … More →
The Southern Poverty Law Center: Putting the Hate in the Hate Indistury
Consider for a moment a large barn housing hundreds of head of cattle. The industrious, scientifically advanced farmer sees to it that the bovine fecal matter is collected and stored in vats. The resultant methane is gathered and used for fuel, then the spent raw materials become fertilizer for cash crops. There is, of course, much unpleasantness associated with the process — mostly the horrible … More →
The Southern Poverty Law Center, A Danger To America
Americans for Legal Immigration have compared the Southern Poverty Law Center to Hitler and Stalin. While the SPLC’s modus operandi appears to be more … let’s call it “capitalist” … than their German and Russian counterparts, those who have dealt with the brownshirts from Montgomery, Alabama might be inclined to agree with ALIPAC’s assessment.
Southern Poverty Law Center Condemns Catholic Media
This is over a month old, but a Philadelphia newspaper, The Bulletin, has a story on the SPLC’s anti-Catholic activities: The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a civil rights law firm in Alabama, has included Catholic organizations in its listing of hate groups, lumping traditional Catholic publications in with the Ku Klux Klan and Neo-Nazis.
